Central California Growers are paying attention to freeze warnings. They're concerned the current cold snap will lead to frozen fruit. However, some Ventura County growers say they don't plan to pick their crops ahead of the freeze. Instead they're counting on water and wind machines. Leavens says the wind and temperature vary from hour to hour. Gus Gunderson, Limoneira's Director of Farming, says damaged fruit will eventually fall from the trees. Gunderson says it's important to check the growth of young leaves for damage.
