Rainbow and Downpours Arrive with Latest Storm

The on again, off again rain storm has produced spectacular rainbows, and challenging downpours. More showers are on the way according to NewsChannel 3 Chief Meteorologist Alan Rose. This morning the heavy rains brought down some areas of mud and rocks on San Marcos Pass and Casitas Pass Road. There was also some street flooding at some intersections on the Santa Barbara east side. In Solvang, the weather put a damper on the tourist business, along with outdoor cafes, but some visitors said they expected some winter weather and were not going to stay away. At Lake Cachuma, a spectacular rainbow emerged about 11 a.m. when the rain took a break and the sun broke through. It covered the lake and came down at Bradbury Dam.
