Beyonce's new surprise album has been a massive success, but not everyone is happy with the way in which the singer chose to reveal it to the world.

Retail giant Target has come forward to say that it will not be selling copies of the album, simply called "Beyonce," which was released last week on iTunes. The physical album is expected to hit store shelves on Friday, but will not be carried in any of Target's U.S. stores because the singer chose to release it digitally first, which could hurt CD sales. Target currently has nearly 1,800 stores nationwide.

A Target spokeswoman told Billboard magazine, "At Target we focus on offering our guests a wide assortment of physical CDs, and when a new album is available digitally before it is available physically, it impacts demand and sales projections."

Beyonce's new album is still slated to reach number one on the charts, becoming the fifth consecutive number one album for the singer, according to USA Today.
