In some cities, canines rule. Men's Health took a look all the factors that would make a city more or less "dog friendly."
The magazine took at look at the per capita number of dog parks, dog-friendly apartments, vets, animal shelters, pet stores and services along with the percentage of dog owners. Also factored in are state laws against animal cruelty, dog fighting and puppy mills.

Some Santa Barbara water users are expected to pay big bills after July 1, if they don't cut back. The rate increase is expected to be approved in June and the goal is to encourage residents to save what's left of the city's supply during the serious drought.
