According to a new study published in the American Journal of Public Health, suicide is now the leading cause of injury-related deaths in America.
The latest data available from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention indicates that 38,364 suicide deaths were reported in the U.S. in 2010. The rate of suicide has been increasing since 2000. Take a look at suicide rates in U.S.
All rates are percentages based on the number of suicides per the total number of people living in each state. All rates are per 100,000 population.
