Think people in your city are funny? Take a look at a list of the funniest cities in America, put together by experts from the Humor Research Lab at the University of Colorado using a "humor algorithm."
Researchers tracked the 50 largest U.S. cities using data points such as the number of native-born famous comedians, the number of comedy club in each city, the number of funny tweeters, the number of comedy radio stations and the frequency of humor-related web searches originating in each city.

1. Chicago. Known for its improvisational and situation-based humor, Chicago residents like "deadpan and quick-witted humor," according to the study.
