An Alabama woman gave birth in a hospital's parking lot after a bomb threat forced an evacuation.

Tessa Kilgore was in active labor at Walker Baptist Medical Center in Jasper when the threat was called in to 911 on Friday, according to the Daily Mountain Eagle.

Hospital staff covered her in blankets and took her outside, where she gave birth to a baby girl, Kylie, 30 minutes later.

"It was just crazy," the 21-year-old Kilgore told the Daily Mountain Eagle. "By the time she was born, I?didn’t care who was around and watching."

An ambulance whisked Kilgore and her baby to a nearby medical facility, where both are doing fine.

"Certain things can’t be planned all the time. Birth is one of them,"? Dr. LoRissia Autery told the Daily Mountain Eagle.

Kilgore gave birth underneath an oak tree in the parking lot.

A pink ribbon now decorates the tree with a tag attached that reads "Tree of Life," Birmingham TV station WIAT reported.

It also has the baby’s name and the day she was born written on it. Family members hope to have Kylie's first birthday party there.

Peggy Henning remembers the day her family welcomed Daisy and Duke into their family like it was yesterday.

"They immediately just became part of the family," said Henning. "They were very friendly with all the guests we had coming over."

But things changed when Daisy and Duke got loose. They liked chasing cats.

"Dogs are pack animals and that is their default instinct," said Henning. "If they are bonded or litter mates, it intensifies that. They would get out of the confines of our house or yard and this instinct would come to the surface."
