SANTA MARIA, Calif. -

A Sig Alert is in effect and all northbound lanes of Hwy 101 are blocked through Santa Maria because of a jackknifed big rig.

The accident happened just after 7 a.m. Tuesday morning when the truck collided with the side of the Santa Maria River Bridge.

The California Highway Patrol website indicates all lanes are blocked and the Broadway onramp to the 101 is closed.

Emergency crews on scene are also working a vehicle versus motorcycle incident along the same stretch.
