THE FREEGAL SYSTEM CONNECTS LIBRARY CARD HOLDERS TO MUSIC FROM A VARIETY OF COLLECTIONS INCLUDING ROCK, INDIE, SOUNDTRACKS, CLASSICAL, JAZZ AND WORLD MUSIC.

YOU CAN DOWNLOAD THREE SONGS A WEEK, AND THEY NEVER EXPIRE. THERE'S ALSO A LINK TO MUSIC VIDEOS.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Card holders in the Santa Barbara Library System can now get free music and videos.

The library is connected to the Freegal Music service with over 7-million songs.

Videos are also available.

The service can be accessed by any computer, or mobile phone device once you enter your library card number.

It's a "to-go" system without having to go directly into a building,  "now with the downloadable books and the downloadable audio books , music and downloadable  digital magazines.  And the nice thing with the magazines and this  is you get to keep them these songs are
yours forever. You can also move them from device to device," said Scott Love with the Santa Barbara Library.

Trained volunteers are also available at the library to help anyone with the download process.

Under the agreement a card holder can download three songs a week.   Music videos count as two music tracks.

For more information you can go to the Santa Barbara Library at SBPLibrary.org
