Stars share their memories of late actor Philip Seymour Hoffman

Philip Seymour Hoffman made time for the Santa Barbara Film Festival three weeks before winning the best actor Oscar in 2006.

This week many of the actors walking the red carpet are thinking of his tragic death and his work that will live on.

June Squibb worked with Hoffman early on in both their careers. They were both in "Scent of A Woman" with Al Pacino, who won the Oscar for his starring role.

Squibb remembered Hoffman as a charming young man.

Brie Larson said news of his death due to an apparent drug overdose left her in a funk.

Leto dedicated his Virtuosos Award to the late actor.

Hoffman won the American Riviera Award in 2006 for having a strong influence on American cinema.

He is being remembered for doing just that.
