Bubbles May Clear the Air at the Bird Refuge

Santa Barbara is trying a new system to make the East Beach Andree Clark Bird Refuge smell better.
At times, it has a foul odor, when the water is stagnant and the days are hot.
Now, a tubing that releases air bubbles is in the water.
The city park department says that should help with circulation and add more oxygen into the water.
The trial system and water quality will be checked regularly to see if the occasional smelly problems clear up.
