Anyone who breaks the rules will be punished and it could lead to social probation, according to Cal Poly officials.

SAN LUIS OBISPO, Calif. -

If Cal Poly fraternities and sororities want to party, they will now have to follow a few new rules.

Cal Poly Greek Life adopted a new party registration policy, which was approved by Cal Poly's Student Affairs Division on Wednesday. The approval ends a month-long social probation.

The regulations include limiting the days and times when parties may be held. Hard liquor, kegs and drinking games are also banned. All parties of 100 or more guests must register 10 days in advance. A guest list must be submitted for each party 24 hours before the event.

Anyone who breaks the rules will be punished and it could lead to social probation, according to Cal Poly officials.
