Rep. Lois Capps said release raises questions

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Rep. Lois Capps took time out from her election day agenda to answer questions about the release of a soldier with Santa Barbara ties.

Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl's parents and grandparents used to lived in Santa Barbara County represented by Capps.

On Tuesday, the Democratic congresswoman said his release was good news, but she questions future prisoner of war policies that could be linked to trades.

Some soldiers said fellow solders died looking for Bergdahl after he deserted his post.

Many politicians were upset the administration did not warn them of the deal.

Capps said questions will have to be answered before something similar occurs.
