The CVS drugstore chain is kicking the habit and will stop selling cigarettes.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

The CVS drugstore chain is kicking the habit and will stop selling cigarettes.

CVS will phase out all tobacco sales by October. The company will likely lose $2-billion dollars in revenue.

It could make up that loss by adding in-store health-clinics. Smokers we talked with Wednesday said they liked the idea.

Many people are hoping Walgreens will follow suit.
