The Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders are in town. Dressed in their iconic Cowboy's uniforms the ladies put on a camp for the youth of Oxnard on Wednesday.
Nearly 200 aspiring cheerleaders attended the camp at Pacifica High School.
The participants learned a Cowboy’s routine, met the Cowboy's mascot Rowdy and learned what it means to be a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader.
“We teach kids the different styles of dance that we do but we also teach them the things that are important about being a Dallas Cowboys cheerleader. Dedication, being compassionate, being caring and being confident, so we just get to spend some time at a short mini-camp today working with the kids out in Oxnard,” said Dallas Cowboys Cheerleader Jennifer Kathryn.
The cheerleaders will be in the Oxnard area through the weekend.
You can expect them at the opening practice for the Dallas Cowboys in Oxnard.
It is this Thursday at 3:45 p.m. at the River Ridge Field in Oxnard. The practice is free and open to the public but parking is $10.
