SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Paramedics saved a 9-month-old boy found in a car in a Goleta parking lot around 1 p.m. Thursday when temperatures were soaring.  The baby is going to be OK, but the mother is likely to face child endangerment charges.

Medics set up a tent near the finish line the Amgen tour.  About five people fainted waiting for the cyclists to cross the finish line.  One spectator said he felt faint inside a hot portable toilet.

At least two people fainted at the Santa Barbara Bowl. Temperatures neared 100 as music lovers waited for the annual Summer Round-Up show to begin.

Medics recommended drinking plenty of water.
