Fire Crews Contain 35-Acre Brush Fire at VAFB

Fire crews have contained a 35 acre brush fire at Vandenberg Air Force Base Friday afternoon.

VANDENBERG AIR FORCE BASE, Calif. -

Fire crews have contained a 35-acre brush fire at Vandenberg Air Force Base Friday afternoon.

Base officials say the fire started at 1:45p.m. at a model aircraft field behind base housing. No structures were threatened and no evacuations were made. Firefighters contained the fire at 4:40p.m.

The cause is under investigation.
