Firefighters save home from burning

Structure Fire in Morro Bay
MORRO BAY, Calif. -

The cause of a structure fire in Morro Bay is under investigation.

The Morro Bay Fire Department responded to a structure fire at 2980 Elm St. around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.

The fire was put out about half an hour later and may have sparked in a detached garage.

Fire crews were able to extinguish the fire just before it spread to the nearby residence and also a trailer that was parked in the driveway.

Total loss is estimated at $50,000. No one was hurt during the incident.
