The company says the initial version of the Internet-connected eyewear will go on sale on Tuesday, April 15 at 9 a.m to any U.S. resident who places an online order.

He was among the first 2,000 people who got to try it out. He said the experience has been mostly positive and the technology is constantly improving. Proffer also says he provides Google with feedback about the product.

Google also announced its going forward with plans to sell a mass-market version of Glass. That device is expected to sell for less than the current $1,500 price.
