Google Glass Goes On Sale, For One Day Only

Google Glass is about to be made available to the general public.
The company says the initial version of the Internet-connected eyewear will go on sale on Tuesday, April 15 at 9 a.m to any U.S. resident who places an online order.
But, Google Glass will be on sale for one day only. The company has also not disclosed how many pairs will be available.
Until now, only 10,000 models have been sold to a group of users known as "Explorers". One of those explorers is Santa Barbara native David Proffer. He was among the first 2,000 people who got to try it out. He said the experience has been mostly positive and the technology is constantly improving. Proffer also says he provides Google with feedback about the product.
Google also announced its going forward with plans to sell a mass-market version of Glass. That device is expected to sell for less than the current $1,500 price.
