The community of Isla Vista is still picking up after destructive Deltopia riot.

ISLA VISTA, Calif. -

Cars smashed and glass bottles thrown around, it's a place many students call home but Isla vista was left trashed Saturday night.

James Anthony Humann, a student, said  "It's a bummer people feel entitled to come in and trash the place."

James Humann and Ben Kosakiewic spent much of their Sunday cleaning up after Deltopia 2014. Kosakiewic said "There were a lot of people who weren't invited here causing all the trouble." Many like Kosakiwic blamed the mess on out-of-town visitors.

Adam Porte is the coordinator of the adopt-a-block program. he says since the community doesn't have a street sweeping day, trash that accumulates during parties like Deltopia will never get picked up.

Porte organized a group of 300 volunteers. "I got in at 8 this morning and it looked way worse than last year."

The mess will take more than two weeks to fully clean up.
