Local Fitness Challenge Raises Money for Food Bank

Fitness facilitiy in Santa Barbara, Fit Body Bootcamp participants winning team lost a total of 50 pounds, winning a check for $1,700, that will then given to the FoodBank of Santa Barbara.


A local fitness challenge not only shed pounds but is lending a hand to an organization in need.  Fit Body Bootcamp, a fitness facility on Upper State Street in Santa Barbara just wrapped up its 4-week weight loss challenge.

Participants received meal plans, body assessments and daily 35-minute workouts.
Organizers say they saw great outcomes and the winning team lost 50 pounds.

And that's not all. A check in the amount of $1,750 was given to the Food Bank of Santa Barbara County. This included 50% of all signup fees and $1 for each pound participants lost. It was a much needed donation at a time when food banks are seeing shortages due to the drought.
