Local Residents React to Government Budget Woes

Locals react to the US government shutdown looming in the horizon.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

Local residents were not holding back on criticism for politicians who have snarled the budget process in Washington, D.C.

Many people who have been watching the crisis unfold had critical comments for politicians involved in the shutdown negotiations that impact  800,000 federal workers, and countless services.

President Obama says essential programs will not be stopped including social security, airline safety, and military paychecks.

Wall Street investors are watching the drama play out in the nation's capital and Tuesday there could be reactions and a possible change in consumer confidence.
