Mac's Fish and Chips Donating Pie Sales to Foster Program
Updated On: Dec 05 2013 08:51:02 PM CST
If you have a craving for a traditional British holiday pie, you could help foster children in Santa Barbara this month.
Mac's Fish and Chips on State Street in downtown is selling a special pie, and donating $5.00 of each sale to the Angels Foster Care organization. It places infants and toddlers in loving homes throughout the county.
Owner Grant MacNaughton tells us it consists of layers of:
- Roast Turkey Breast in Turkey Gravy
- Buttered Carrots and Peas
- Sage & Onion Stuffing
- Topped with Puréed Parsnip & Mashed Potatoes
- Side of Cranberry Sauce
This creation came from suggestions made by customers.
The pies cost $7.50 each.
The restaurant will be making the pies throughout the month and make a donation in early January.
