The California Highway Patrol is looking at a Ventura resident as a possible suspect in a deadly hit and run crash in the Santa Ynez Valley Friday night.

SANTA YNEZ, Calif. -

The California Highway Patrol is looking at a Ventura resident as a possible suspect in a deadly hit and run crash in the Santa Ynez Valley Friday night.

The crash happened after 10:30 p.m. when the driver of a Toyota Camry slammed head-on into 33-year-old motorcyclist Joseph Corcoran of Santa Cruz. Corcoran died from his injuries.

The driver took off after the accident but authorities say the Camry is registered to a Ventura resident. His name has not released as the investigation is ongoing.
