Emergency crews were on scene of a multi-car crash in Goleta. California Highway Patrol said just after 6 p.m. all lanes are open.
The five car pile-up happened just before 5 p.m. Tuesday on the northbound side of Highway 101 near the Fairview Avenue on ramp.
Santa Barbara County Fire said five people were hurt in the crash and transported to the hospital.
One person suffered serious injures and four other patients suffered minor to moderate injuries.
The number two and three lanes were blocked and traffic was diverted to the right side of the highway.
The cause of the crash is under investigation by the CHP.
