You rarely find piles of trash on our local beaches, but if you look close enough you will find many items that need to be picked up, and tomorrow is the day volunteers will be doing a clean sweep on Coastal Clean Up Day. Newschannel 3 Reporter John Palminteri gives us a preview in this report.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

The annual California Coastal Cleanup day will likely leave our local beaches trash free by tomorrow afternoon.

Volunteers are going to be armed with buckets and bags to pickup a variety of trash including cigarette butts, paper products, clothing, and large items that were illegally dumped.

Many residents who go to Leadbetter beach said they felt the area was clean and they often see city workers picking up any leftover trash or other debris.
