4,000 Mile Bike Ride From Anchorage to Tijuana

A Santa Barbara City College student is biking more than 4,000 miles and it's all for a good cause.
Right after finals Quincy Briscoe set off on this massive adventure.

He started his bike ride on May 31 in Anchorage, Alaska and plans on arriving in Tijuana, Mexico on Aug. 1.

Briscoe has spent the last 59 days, traveling about 60 miles a day down the coast of North America.

Briscoe is hoping his trek will help raise money and awareness for Project Enlighten.  Project Enlighten is a U.S.-based nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of impoverished children and communities in Cambodia through innovative education skills training and housing programs.

Briscoe is conquering the journey with his friend Charlie Slattery.  Briscoe's sister Ayla Stargill and her boyfriend Daniel Welcome joined the group in Ashland, Ore.  The group sets up camp at the end of each day.
