Sheriff's K-9 "Zeus" Dies

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

A Santa Barbara County Sheriff's retired K-9 deputy passed away Monday.

Zeus, 12, was a German shepard who worked in the department for four years.

Deputy Ken Rushing often credited his four-legged partner for saving his life.

Zeus was a bomb detection dog who also helped find suspects and lost people.

During his retirement, Zeus lived with his handler and his family.
