SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

An unidentified man was sent to Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara after suffering from a minor stab wound Monday night. Shortly after 6 p.m., Santa Barbara City Fire Department, Santa Barbara Police Department and American Medical Response responded to the 911 call at Cota  and Garden Streets in Santa Barbara.

Police say the stab wound is a minor puncture with almost no bleeding. The man was conscious but was not cooperating with investigators.

Although no crime scene has been identified, a bicycle has been removed from the area and a description of the suspect has been obtained.

The 911 call came from a bystander who was approached by the victim for help.
