Parents and kids packed the 10th Annual "ParentClick Kids and Teens Expo" at the La Cumbre Plaza.
An estimated 2,500 people turned out to check out exhibits showcasing vital resources for parents and kids, including child care, pre-schools, fitness classes and wellness. Local mom Karen Januzik has two kids ages 3 and 9. She said, "I'm looking for preschools because I haven't found one for my son yet and camps for my older daughter."
Rachael Steidl is the founder of the festival and the website ParentClick, which she created 12 years ago. She said, "I started it back when my twins were two years old and I was pregnant with my third. I grew up in Santa Barbara and realized there was not a lot of ways to get information easily. So, we decided to launch a site where we centralized information for families giving parents choices."
ParentClick showcases more than 5 thousand organizations for every age, from tots to teens. More than 24,000 families visit the site every month. 8,700 families get an e-mail newsletter every week covering different topics.
ParentClick is launching its new mobile-friendly website next month. To visit the website just click here.
