Two Dead in Plane Crash in Templeton

The San Luis Obispo sheriff’s department says the pilot and the passenger were two male occupants on board the plane. Sheriff’s confirm John Warren, 66 and Robert “Bob” Berg died.

TEMPLETON, Calif. -

On Saturday morning a  single engine piper cup airplane crashed in an open field.

The  San Luis Obispo sheriff’s department says  the pilot and the passenger were two male occupants on board the plane.  Sheriff’s confirm John Warren, 66 and Robert “Bob” Berg died.

Witnesses said the plane took off and  started to bank to the right. It continued in a circular pattern and spiraled to the ground.
