Two People Arrested In Isla Vista For Allegedly Trying to Sell Drugs

ISLA VISTA, Calif. -

Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Deputies arrested two people in Isla Vista for allegedly trying to sell drugs.

Twenty-five year old Julius Perdomo was pulled over on the 6500 block of Del Playa Drive for playing loud music in his car on Friday. After police searched his car they found about a pound of marijuana and arrested him.

Police also searched Perdomo's home, where he lived with his girlfriend, 23-year-old Sarah Pet. In the house, police discovered 58 pounds of marijuana, about a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, and 42 grams of concentrated cannabis.

In addition to the drugs, $17,000 in cash was found at the home. Further investigation found the couple was hiding more money in bank accounts. In total police seized $127,000.

The couple is charged with possession of marijuana and mushrooms, and conspiracy to sell drugs. Perdomo is being held on $30,000 bail.
