Westmont College President Recounts Special Visit with Pope Francis

President Dr. Gayle Beebe of Westmont College was one of about two dozen Non-Catholics that met with Pope Francis in the Vatican.

SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -

The President of Westmont College recounts a very special meeting with Pope Francis.
In early June the he Pope invited non-Catholic Christians to the Vatican to seek common ground between Protestants and Catholicss. That group included politicians, businessmen and educators.

Dr. Gayle Beebe describes the Pope as spontaneous and out of the box. Whether or not there will be a second meeting is unknown but Dr. Beebe says he plans to expand Westmont College's Student Exchange Program with Italy and promote leadership development among the future generation.
