Santa Barbara County Fire Department sent two Jet Skis out to pick up the man and escort the two other kayakers to Goleta Beach.
The 18-year-old was taken to Goleta Valley Cottage Hospital for hypothermia. He was in the water for 45 minutes to one hour before rescue arrived.
