Assistant coach Landon Boucher will succeed Dave Odell who stepped down after two successful years at San Marcos High School.

GOLETA, Calif. -

The transition is complete as Dave Odell passes the head coaching baton at San Marcos High School to his assistant Landon Boucher.

Boucher played at Westmont College and was the head basketball coach at Providence Hall before being an assistant coach for the Royals last year.

Odell led the Royals the past two years as they made the playoffs both seasons including a rare CIF Quarterfinal appearance for San Marcos in 2013.

Odell will continue to help out the program and former San Marcos and Pepperdine star Jon Korfas will serve as an assistant to Boucher.
