Dons capture league's top-seed with victory at Dos Pueblos

GOLETA, Calif. -

After losing the fourth set 25-13 and getting behind 7-4 in the fifth and final set, Santa Barbara High School turned it on and outlasted Dos Pueblos 15-13 to win the outright Channel League Championship in boys volleyball.

Joe Rafferty's finesse shot found the floor before DP could get to it, setting off a celebration for the visiting Dons who won league with a 7-1 record. Dos Pueblos ends up 5-2 and in third place while San Marcos claims second with a 6-2 mark.

Rafferty had 12 kills while DP was led by Jackson Wopat's match-high 17 kills. The CIF Division 2 playoffs begin next week.
