Trinkwon signs with Dodgers

Brandon Trinkwon receives a $171,900 signing bonus and the seventh round pick out of UCSB will play with at the Dodgers Rookie League team in Ogden, Utah.


Brandon Trinkwon will begin his pro baseball career this week after signing with the Dodgers.

The UCSB junior shortstop was a seventh round pick by the Dodgers earlier this month and this week received a $171,900 signing bonus.

Trinkwon is on the roster of the rookie league Ogden Raptors which begins play onThursday.

Meanwhile Cal Poly relief pitcher Chase Johnson received a $440,000 signing bonus from the San Francisco Giants. He was a third round pick.
